At Patel Public School, we believe that discipline and responsibility are the foundations of success. Our guidelines aim to help students grow into self-reliant, respectful, and compassionate individuals — reflecting the school’s vision of academic excellence with strong moral values.
These guidelines are designed to create a safe, inclusive, and value-driven learning environment for all students, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and ICSE standards.
1) GENERAL CONDUCT
- Students must maintain decorum, respect, and politeness within and outside the school premises.
- Every student should uphold the dignity of the school through behavior, language, and attitude.
- Respect for teachers, staff, peers, and school property is expected at all times.
- Students are encouraged to follow truthfulness, punctuality, and discipline as key virtues of PPS.
- Littering, bullying, teasing, or use of inappropriate language is strictly prohibited.
- The use of mobile phones, smart watches, or electronic gadgets is not allowed inside the campus.
2) ATTENDANCE & PUNCTUALITY
- Regular attendance is compulsory. A minimum of 85% attendance is required to appear for the final examination
- Students should report to school on time (8:00 a.m.) and attend the morning assembly daily.
- Leave of absence must be submitted in writing by parents through the MCB School Portal or leave letter.
- Absence for more than three consecutive days requires a medical certificate (in case of illness)
- Late arrivals beyond 8:10 a.m. will not be permitted without valid reason
- Repeated late coming or absenteeism without intimation will invite disciplinary action.
3) SCHOOL UNIFORM
- The school uniform must be worn neatly and smartly on all working days and during school functions.
- Students must adhere to the prescribed house uniform on assigned days.
- Shoes must be polished, and hair must be kept tidy.
- Jewellery, nail polish, tattoos, fancy hairstyles, or makeup are not permitted.
- On days of special celebrations or competitions, dress code instructions must be followed as directed.
4) ACADEMIC GUIDELINES
- Students must complete home assignments and projects regularly and submit them on time.
- Active participation in class discussions, group work, and assessments is encouraged.
- Academic honesty is essential. Cheating or plagiarism in any form will lead to disciplinary action.
- Performance is evaluated through continuous assessments, projects, and term exams as per ICSE standards.
- Students absent during exams without valid reason will not be re-tested.
5) COMMUNICATION & PARENT COOPERATION
- The school values a strong parent–school partnership for student progress.
- All official communication will be shared through the MCB School Portal or School App only.
- Parents should not use WhatsApp groups for official updates.
- Meetings with teachers must be scheduled through the Coordinator or School Office.
- Parents should check the school diary or MCB portal regularly for circulars, homework, and updates.
- Feedback or concerns must be shared respectfully through official channels.
6) DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA CONDUCT
- Students must use digital devices responsibly for educational purposes only.
- Posting or sharing inappropriate content about the school, staff, or peers is not allowed.
- Cyberbullying or misuse of online platforms will lead to disciplinary action.
- Online sessions (if applicable) must be attended in full uniform with the camera on and proper etiquette.
7) DISCIPLINE & BEHAVIOUR EXPECTATIONS
- Students must follow school rules and maintain self-discipline.
- Disrespect, vandalism, or disruptive behaviour will not be accepted.
- Running in corridors, damaging property, or disobeying teachers will result in corrective action.
- Students must behave responsibly during assemblies, field trips, and inter-school events.
- Honesty and respectful conduct are expected from every Patelian student.
8) SPORTS, CLUBS & CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
- Participation in sports, arts, and clubs is mandatory for holistic development.
- Students must attend all scheduled practice sessions and rehearsals.
- School teams and clubs represent teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
9) HEALTH, SAFETY & HYGIENE
- Students must maintain personal hygiene and wear clean uniforms.
- Medical concerns must be reported to the class teacher or school nurse immediately.
- Parents must inform the school in writing about allergies or chronic conditions.
- The campus is tobacco-free and plastic-free.
- Students should not bring large amounts of money or valuables.
- Parents must keep emergency contact details updated.
10) ARRIVAL & DISPERSAL
- Students must arrive at least 10 minutes before the first bell.
- Dispersal will follow the schedule; early departures require written permission.
- Parents or guardians must carry the authorized ID card during pick-up.
- Students will not be handed over to unauthorized persons.
11) FEE & PAYMENT GUIDELINES
- Fees must be paid as per the Fee Circular schedule.
- Late payments may attract fines as per school policy.
- Fees are non-refundable except in special cases approved by the management.
- Reports, certificates, or transfer documents may be withheld if dues remain unpaid.r
12) RECOGNITION & REWARDS
- Students showing excellence, integrity, leadership, and service will be recognized under the Star Student and Best House awards.
- Consistent discipline and positive behaviour are valued equally with academics.
13) DISCIPLINARY ACTION
- The school follows a fair and corrective approach for misconduct.
- Actions may include verbal or written warnings, parent meetings, counseling, detention, suspension for serious issues, or dismissal in extreme cases after management review.
14) SCHOOL PROPERTY & ENVIRONMENT
- Students must take care of school furniture, books, and resources.
- Damage caused due to negligence must be reported and compensated.
- Students are encouraged to conserve water, save energy, and maintain a clean green campus.
